Smitty sled options
« on: Dec 06, 2014, 07:20 AM »
Looking for input on putting a smitty sled together. I was wondering how it would work took a set of skis & mounted them to the tub of my shack with some ground clearance between the skis & the tub. Any feedback is appreciated.

If it's a flip over shack the tub has to sit on the ice while fishing.  Some guys have figured out retractable gear to raise the skis when not pulling.  A regular smitty with the tub fastened by bungees or rope is the easiest configuration.

I think your question is unclear, which is why there are so few replies. What kind of shack are you referring to? I can't see how you could permanently mount a shanty of any kind to a smitty sled...
