i'm going to try a simple Sheppard's Pie this year! Browned hamburger, creamed corn and topped off with mashed potatoes. I'll prepare it in individual serving tins to be reheated on my Mr. Heater on the ice.
Reheating fryed food usually doesn't turn out to good, unless you have an oven and then it still isnt the same, we do a lot of cooking on the ice sometimes more cooking than fishing but on a slow day it keeps you busy, here's a few things we have cooked to give you a few ideas, sausage and peppers, beef and broccoli chicken stir fry, beef stew with dumplings, bbq chicken sandwiches, steak and cheese subs, if you fish with a lot of guys you could make wings on the ice with a turkey fryer but it can be a pain dealing with the oil, what I do is prep everything at home then all I have to do is throw it togeather, you can cook just about anything if you have a permanent shelter with a stove and oven I cook in a hub shack while fishing, good luck and enjoy the food sometimes its better than the fishing
I would like to do more grilling on the ice this year and now with a freezers full of venison I think it should happen.
I know who I want to fish next to!!

Bart - I have tried finding your Mr. Buddy heater conversion posts, but I can't seem to find it. You ordered a replacement heater grate directly from Mr. Buddy right? Could you possibly fill me in on the steps and what you did? I really like how clean yours looks and the functionality with the tins. Thanks man
