trying to make the decision myself.

For me the floating option was a must.  If I'm going to spend a few hundred bucks on these, and they will last years, I may as well get the floating ones for a little insurance on our thin ice down south.

That brought me to Striker vs. Arctic Armor.

Strikers have better ventilation, more pockets, better designed pockets, adjustable gator straps, etc..

For the $100 I would save buying the Arctic Armors, I can get all those extra features in the Strikers.

my $0.02 (US of course)

Jthod got it right.  I have been an ice armor owner for years and been happy with my blue suit.  However after getting my striker suit I can say that that striker is a far better product.

There is also the Predator bibs and jacket that I have been looking at $189 for each piece, bibs or parka.

So what striker bib then?

If you're looking at being able to layer, Striker Climate. If you're looking at a warm layer, Striker Hardwater. I got the Climate Parka and Harwater bibs. They dont really match, but this isn't Dancing with the Stars.

if you are looking for just the bibs then Striker is how you should go. just to let you know Clam doesn't sell just the lift bibs alone (floating ones) you would have to buy the full suit. the only Clam Ice Armor that you can buy just the bibs in is the Edge, Extreme, & Ultra models.
