Bad Weather!!!

With the rain all last night, and warm weather all the way up into the 50's late this week, how bad is this going to set back all of the lakes and ponds.  Could we possiblly see open water before we see enough ice to get out on??? From what I gathered from everyone, lakes and ponds had anywhere from 4/5-7/8 inches of ice prior to this bad week.

I read that two people fell in at Lake Musconetcong. Was in the newspaper and I believe they were ice skating. I will not take any chances with this weather.

This warm weather is definately making the ice less desirable to go out on... that coupled with some rain storms moving through this week arent going to help. 

I do belive we will still have and ice covering and hopefully the cold will return by next week  so we can all get back out there again !

You don't have to go to New York State to fish in Lake George! There is Lake George in Schooley's Mountain State Park. Have never ice fished there, but I want to give it a try this year. Anyone have any ice fishing info from past years? There is probably no safe ice there now, but there is always hope.
