Maybe it’s a sign of an early spring. Do you think I should get the sugar pails ready?

Rain drops keep fallin' on my head.... :'( :'( :'(
Fish may be stupid but I've never seen a perch sitting in a boat with a second degree sun burn trying to catch a man.

Fished yesterday morning in the rain  ??? Thank goodness for the Clam Fish Trap Pro!!  Stayed dry for the most part and had a great day putting fish on the ice.  Totals (kept) for yesterday was:

27 Gill's
 3  Big Perch
 2  Nice Crappies

Released many more.  What a wonderful sport this is.  Hopefully the weather the next couple days don't ruin it for the up and coming weekend.  At least the snow is gone.  I ended up drilling a bunch of holes to help get the water off the ice on a couple lakes,  Should see the whirlpools caused when 5-6 inches of water is being sucked through a 7" hole  :o

If the fishing on the second "first" ice is anything like this last first ice then I will have permanent nightmares of "The revenge of  dink city perch".

Poor on Orange L. (near Newburgh)
8 crappie, one perch - all in one hole. We tried 20 holes from shallow to deep and only one produced.
Will the thaw make things better or worse?
