Legend model 31 gap?
« on: Dec 23, 2005, 11:24 AM »
So i threw the new ripper blades on, getting things ready,

Pulled the plug, and am heading out to grab a new one. I've had this auger through 2 moves now, and can't find my owner's manual. Anyone have plug gap info handy?

Can you gap the one you took out?  It should be the right gap shouldn't it?  Or maybe at the auto parts place where you get a new plug maybe able to tell you.  Or as I always do when all else fails, GOOGLE.

I figured you had thought of that already.  Any luck on Google?

ARRRGGHHH!

I need a new gas cap. Old one lost the rubber vent seal. Jiffy wants $8.95. That's fine.

but they want $10.38 to ship it UPS ground? **censored**!

I'll check the hardware store in Bath. They have a ton of chainsaw/lawnmower parts. Bet one fits.

Ever have to check the gap while out in the "willies".......  the thickness of a match book cover will usually get things started and running.........   it's usually about.028 to .032 in thickness...........   works every time...............   unless you leave the matches on the kitchen counter.........

Brunswick Lawn and Garden or LL Beans has them for sure.  (Had one in my hand last night)  Cut a piece of gasket material (fiber not rubber) and use that as the gasket seal.  Works better, rubber one just squishes and ends up torn.  I use .22 shells and .38 casings to cut the little buggers out and put some extra in my little ice fishing kit.  Good luck.
