Hey guys. Ik u haven't heard from me in awhile. I broke my ankle couple days ago on the ice. And my bday was yesterday. Looks like I'm out until the late spring. Just wanted to give ya a update. Please pray for me! Thanks.

Oh yeah. Morels are definitely on the way. Last season the woods behind my house we found around 30 lbs

agreed! i also think many ppl were suprised to see the handle that started the topic, like me, maybe many others are trying to loosen the drag a bit and see if theres anything to share and teach, OR, maybe some are just fed up and care less to share and teach. everybody has fish stories right? mine are best told with bacardi over a bonfire, others choose other methods, but im thinking that MAYBE, this might be a different 'go-around'

 I hope you heal well and quickly . The mushroom story reminds me of when I was in the far northwest corner of Ill. one spring for work . The local guys were all talking about the mushrooms they found after work , 6, 8 , so and so found 13 etc. It didn't sound all that great to me until it was explained to me that they were talking about pounds of mushrooms !!

30 pounds?  Not too shabby. Last year my farm produced 106 pounds. All found in 4 days. Much better than the 2012 spring when we found 9 mushrooms total. This should be a bumper year so heal up quickly.

dehydrate and freeze to eat throughout the year, share with family and friends, sell to those that enjoy but dont or cant hunt them. and best of all...ENDULGE!

Eat the heck out of em lol. Give about 75% of them away. Never will I sell any. That's bad mojo. We are blessed to have a lot of property. We have spots where finding 200 big yellows is not uncommon. Really a special place for mushrooms.
