Fished West Hill on Sunday with no luck at all. Got a late start, 8:30 or so, and stuck it out till 2 with no flags all day. Plenty of ice and snow covered slush, had about 12" ice and 6-10" of yuk. Not much else to say.

Sounds like my experience on West Hill. I've heard go early and set up close to shore, but I've tried with no avail.

A smart person would watch the few that ventured to the ice sheet, the daring would follow in their boot prints, but the pioneers would already be heading to where they belong.

I was there on Sunday too in the black cabelas tent. Have to agree that walking out there was no fun but I did have luck using small shiners just past the beach area close to shore.
