donegal lake crappies

i fish donegal lake througout the year. this year on open water,i caught more bigger crappies than in the past - 10" -12" fish were not uncommen. the usual fish in the past where around 5-6". anyone know about whats goin on?

Idid not know there are Crappie in that lake.

its about 3 miles north of the turnpike exit on the way to ligonier.   rt 711?

donegal lake is located off rt 711. just exit the turnpike at donegal, make a left onto rt 31, go approx one half mile and make a left onto rt711. go approx 3 miles and the lake is on right hand side! can,t miss it.
