What do I have to do to get pics to show up on here? The first day we only got 27 as I didn't find them til the end of day.Next two days we went to that spot and caught 150 with around 60 10"-13" biggest the rest 8-10.My best lure was a forage minnow with spikes and red bead and one other buddy caught them well on horizonal jig and tube bait or minnow head.Best trip there ever for size as we had about 15 thgat were 12" also.

perch we caught very few of ours on minnows.minnow heads worked decent and a red jenson egg with a spike on each treble was the best.red spikes worked too but throw everything at them lures and colors til you find the ones they like.forage minnow lure has worked well every year this year i used a blue one.

Thanks I figured it out.

Lot of big fish there, nice catch.  I always let a few of the bigger ones go to ensure the fishery for future generations.

can bring back 100 a guy with a 8 day sport license for 50.00.we usually bring back near our limit but this time two of the guys really struggled as i got 80 and guy i fished with got 50 other two guys only got 50 between them.they were drinkers of bunch though so didn't get outside as much as i did.we have been going for like 6 years too.

yep a few went back and if i lived there all of big ones would go back and keep the 8-9 inchers to eat.but with as big of water as that lake is and the 500-600 little ones we caught the last couple of years it don't effect it like it would a 20 acre lake.

8-day sport is $52.41 and outdoor card is $9.68 (good for 2 years) one year sport licence is $81.57.  We're heading back up march 1-5 . Last time we had so-so luck out of Virginia beach, perch were finicky, hope we have better luck this time. also everyone we talked to who were in shanty's.(Casey's) said it was DEAD,DEAD,DEAD..a couple of guys said they were there for two days and had only 4 perch..but that's the way it is..we find it's better to be mobile and use shanty's as a home base to warm up or whatever. you just have to run & gun..ohh and don't even think about using a quad..sled it if you can. cost way too much to get pulled out.( trust me I know) and it's so hard on your quad..we were against the chip 90% of the time.my little 500 was saying **censored** :o but we were virgin's in Feb..and now that we are kinda *broke in *  ;D ;D maybe she will be good to us this time around...tight lines
