East Bay. I have never tried at Somers.

What are you using on your tip up to catch them? Smelt? All the years growing up in Kalispell and I never once fished Flathead but this video is making me wish I had!

Personal opinion I think it's better early season. We use a combination of squawk fish and cut bait. It depends on what they are feeling for the day.

Ice Fished Priest Lake East Side for years. A big white jig and Yellow Perch belly strip and you caught em if they were there. I need to go back now and try it again. Is yellow perch belly legal in montana? Sure beat out sucker meat every time. Pete

fished out in front of the resort saturday and sunday and had three iced with about 20 or so missed flags. one was 10 pounds one was 13 and one was 16. ill post pics later.

Saw folks out on Somers Bay around 11am as I headed into Kalispell. About 3 pm I passed the bay going back and it looked like water on the ice and the wind was howling. 50 degrees and that ice will be a thing of the past. But wanted to say great video! Looked like you had fun!
