Little Bitterroot Lake?
« on: Feb 09, 2014, 06:36 PM »
Have not seen any reports about Little bitterroot Lake lately...

How is the ice? Has the lake closed up completely? How thick is the ice now?
Also any reports about the salmon and perch? What to use? Where about are they being caught? How deep?
You know all the usual questions and I am not asking for anybody honey hole... Just general location.

Thanks

Hank,
Nick & I fished Bitteroot Saturday. We stopped at the first cluster of shanties due to marginal ice
(was on a 4 wheeler) hit some slushy spots, one open spot. Ice was 5-6 inches- you could see the
the slushy spots so it looks like a drunk drove out there avoiding the dark spots.
We only caught 3 fish not much on the finders.
Most guys packed up and went WAAAAAY out in the middle, supposedly they where catching out there.
It should be getting nothing but better.
We where in 115 FOW.
Saw one brave soul dragging a hardside with a wheeler way out there-
Get bit!
