mqt lower harbor
« on: Feb 02, 2014, 09:44 PM »
Fished the lower harbor out by the breakwall tonight. There was a good 12"-14" of black ice. wish I had a four wheeler or snowmobile to search around out there. marked a lot of fish but not one of them cared to eat a wax worm, wiggler, single egg, piece of skane, night crawler, small minnow, medium minnow, large sucker minnow, jigging rap, or do jigger.

I fished it yesterday for a few hours, nothing to show for it.

It is MQT. Might be further ahead to put a tip up on the roof of Thills fish house and they can tie something on for ya. Just let them know if you prefer whitefish, herring filleted or smoked

im gonna try wigglers under a bobber, maybe single eggs, and lil cleos for the coho...as for the lures that were getting used out there earlier...they might get u into some treble.

seeing more and more people in the upper harbor everyday when I go to class, whats going on?!  is that open water they are casting into, looks like everyone posted up on the edge.   Can the upper harbor be an alright spot for whities?  Looking to take my dad somewhere next weekend with the underwater camera which hes never done, munising has been a bust every time i've been out so want to try somewhere else.

MQT is just as good as Munising. Well maybe not that good.  ;D
