I posted this in the ice conditions thread, but most don't read those anyway. Can anyone confirm that the ice did go out? Those of you that drive by each day, do you have an update?

I spoke with a lady at the Willoughvale Inn on the phone Tuesday AM. She said she could see open water (as in no ice fishing). Now i'm really confused. I was going to fish there this weekend. I guess I'll just have to go and see for myself, be ready and be careful.

i drove by today and it didn't look good. It snowed an inch this morning covering up any sketchy places. There are big wet spots in the middle and open lanes of water around the mountains. Nobody had walked out to check the ice at the access yet since the snow. I am sure there will be some people out there, but I would suggest against it unless you check the ice yourself. That is if you can get on without getting wet.

Fished South end of the lake today bucking the wind and skunked on trout.  We had steady 7-9 inches of ice
and lots of wind flags.

Willoughby has been terrible fishing the last 3 years. Seymour is starting to sound more appealing with their reports of catching the last couple years.
