Personally, I don’t think it is necessary to bash or harshly criticize what others have or like to make my opinion seem more relevant or legitimate.  That being said get, a Toyota!  Whether you get a Tacoma or Tundra you can’t go wrong and you’ll never but another kind of vehicle again.  The only decision is which one.  What you are going to use it for and what kind of gas mileage you’re looking for.  There’s your answer.

Kev, at least Toyota has 6 manufacturing shops in the States.  Missisippi, Kentucky, Texas, Indiana, Alabama, and West Virginia.

Your wheels are made in Canada, but the majority of your truck is built in San Antonio, Texas.

Ford is a different story...if you own a Ranger, while not a bad truck, its manufactured in Thailand.  The F-150 is built in Dearborn, MI, and Kansas City, where as the engines are built in good ole Mexico.  Your Toyota has more american manufacturing in it than the F150.

Whats the most youll be moving around in it, your ice gear? If so, Im telling you a hatchback will work.

I drive 550miles a week just back and forth to work, and fill up once for about $30.

It may not be the coolest or manliest car out there. But im not driving it to impress anyone. And if you need a vehicle to prove how manly you are..well there are other issues at play there..
Im driving it to get me to work, and to where I want to fish without costing a fortune in gas.
Again I am ONLY, SAY IT AGAIN, ONLY interested in a pick up truck, no hatch back, mini van, etc etc etc. Thank'ya ;D I need out for work, for my 12' boat, for the dump run, etc etc etc. I am swaying toward the Toyota tundra, if its as roomy as my ford?

Hit the dealerships. Drive them. Buy the one you like best. But make sure you try the Titan.

Love my Fords, always have.  That said I think it would be hard to not find a good truck out there nowadays.  All the companies have upped their games.

Whatever you consider Keith make sure to do a google search for the Technical Service Bulletins to get an idea on common issues for a particular model.   Very handy when picking a new truck.   Ill never buy new.  I like some other owner to eat the depreciation first!
