I could throw a bluegill in my toilet but it doesn't mean I wanna eat it from there.  Best of luck out there.

That was December 2nd? Its now January 11th? Clearly any experienced ice fisherman would know that pond looked like $h!t. And also why when they pulled him out was he in socks and trousers?

Obviously not a fisherman. Obviously didnt know what he was doing.

Sorry, just having a little fun. I would imagine there are fish in there and you have several ponds to choose from. I'm sure you will have plenty of company from the nearby waterfowl.

Might just want to wear your all white camo. The Mall SWAT team will have you hooked up and hobbled faster than you can set a hook. And if they miss you the giant shopping geese will stop pooping on the ice and be on you like flies on ^%^ for trespassing. Just cant see this having a good outcome.

Yes those are on private property...you need permission from the owners to  be on it....no one likely ever fished it as 1 as stated it is laced with chemicals and 2 owners dont give permission due to liability.  Yes Grandville pd would likely not give any warnings on that one as it is posted  here and there for no trespassing.  You coming home to fish mall ponds? Lol

Wonder if the retention pond by my kids' school would be any good,
There's also some stormwater retention by Lakeside Mall I'll have to check out.  Nice looking structure in those ponds for sure.

LOL, he called it Riverland.

I would like to say there are easier spots to fish in the area, but there are not. can go buy gear from dicks, wander across a parking lot and set up shop.

You gotta try, post pics.

he's actually not in walker currently, he's been enlisted for a while and not in michigan so hence the reason he may get name wrong.....

On a same note, fished a golf course pond a few years ago Pulled some slab 11" Gills out, but they went right back in the hole, It was almost a month after every other lake was froze before this one had skim coat from the fertilizer/pesticides. But it was a fun day of pulling in monsters.

When you come home Trek I will take you fishing obviously unless I am working.  I have a few private Honey holes that even you could catch a fish in..... :)

So what you are trying to say is that I won't see pics? too bad, moved away a year ago and would love seeing pics of home, especially on those ponds, I figured the pond behind miejers mite be deep enough to hold fish.

Its metro fishing at its best!  When I lived closer to GR I would see guys fishing golf courses, drainage ditches, retention/runoff ponds at various apt buildings, malls, etc.  Ive also seen some nice fish in those waters, and most of the time, the people that fish them keep them for consumption !

golf course fishing is the best. I would never eat anything out of there. In florida we fished a golf course pond and were catching monster bass.

Team M.I.R.C Rock bass. It's whats for dinner.
