Nice! I have a 6" that cuts ice like mad!

I recently spent $100 on a fin bore 8" "just because".  I used it Sunday for the first time and I must say was impressed, I don't remeber my old blue mora cutting anywhere near that good 30 years ago. ;D

I love mine, but I got an adaptor and it's powered by my Tanaka.   Marcel just sharpened it yesterday.:)

New model of the same thing I've been using for years, light, inexpensive, and gets the job done.  Just be sure to keep it sharp, and you should have no problem as long as you're not trying to drill dozens of holes and the ice isn't too thick where you fish.

Nice. Used it for years. Used to go through an inch a second back when we used to have 2' of ice.

I like the backround as well.

Nice. I have the 7 and 8 inch mora's. When new or just sharpened the 7 inch is fast through the ice. Jump up only one inch and it gets alot harder...My 8 inch collects dust if more than 12 inches of ice ;D If your young with a good arm you can zing 5 holes in a couple mins but if you start getting past 20 inches of ice you might start throwing the auger across the ice... ;) oh ya don't bang the blades at all on the ice...

I had one too and after the 3rd outing, I gave it away.   Then bought a powered Jiffy (No regrets since)

I agree, you don't want to bang the blades on the ice, almost as bad as hitting a rock.  I changed the original corkscrew grip on my mora to a "T" grip and find it gives me a lot more leverage and power, especially if the blade starts getting dull.  It is a little slower but not bad when you are used to it.

Got my 8" strikemaster in the back as I speak but definitely need to sharpen it (buddy went to shallow and hit gravel). Hasn't really cut the same since. Before that had drilled holes through up to 34" of ice (not easy but doable).

I had trouble with strikemaster when I bought it. I took the china made blade off and put Swedish made blade on it. What a difference it tears through the ice now.

got the 6 inch, had it for near 15 years. she gets new blades each year and she cuts ice like butter no complaints no issues.  Keep em sharp and you never have to worry about carb problems bad gas low batteries or lugging a 35 pound auger around.
