Anyone fished it recently?  Wondering how the ice is and where the water level is this winter.

Water level is low.  I live down the street.  My buddy wanted to go last night for smelt, I recommended he wait as we got a bit of rain and the Farmington was running into the north end pretty good.  You may expect to find iffy edges, but should be able to plank on at worst.

Sure does, not enforced at all on Colebrook, only on Hogsback.

Not always the case. I have been asked to leave trying to stay late. On the other hand never been bothered getting there early way before sun up. Never asked to leave by a warden just MDC police.

MDC does affiliate/work with the corps on Colebrook, however if you want to go jig smelt at night go after dark, park over the line in Mass and have at it. You probably will never have an issue!  The only time they pay attention to the place at night is when the smelt spawn and people try to poach them from the streams.

Signs at Colebrook say closed at dusk but they don't close the gate. That's all I'm saying.  Do what you want.

As long as you go after dark you'll be fine, then again there are more productive smelt fisheries up the road in Mass where you would not be bothered at all for night fishing.

Littleville is a great fishery but I never have much luck through the ice.  You can smelt fish right near the orange booeys I've heard but otherwise your better off using a snow machine to get to the other end (most refer to it as dayville).  Again, I've heard its more productive down that way but I've never had much luck there through the ice.  It can also be super windy so plan on bringing your shanty.  The wind comes flying down the valley most days.
