The rope usually gives you enough slack to end up hitting whatever you are towing the shack with. I usually drilled two large holes in each ski, slide a pipe or bar through and attach an A frame tow hitch to the bar....I have an old set-up that you can have if you would be willing to come to Freedom and pick up.......send me a PM if interested.

Buy some electrical pipe flatten ends with a hammer bend v use bolts to mount a hitch attach to house with hinges done , cost effective works

"Tow any person or sled without a rigid hitch."

Thats all it says in the book.  When is a sled not a sled? Who knows!

Looks to me this law was designed to stop people from being eaten by the rear tires of a quad or belt sanded to death by the track of a sled.

I was told by F&G it has to be a rigid bar on a bobhouse.

We just run a rope through the bobhouse runners, not the skis, and off we go.  Never had a mishap yet.  Saw a guy on Winnisquam years ago that just run the rope around his house, when he got to the beach and went to pull it over the drift he pulled the house right off the floor........yup he did!

Anything with runners like a sled is considered a sled ;)
