Snowy morning with more on the way

Just a heads up for anyone headed to northcentral PA this week...we're getting hit pretty hard with snow right now and its supposed to continue through the night.  Roads are sloppy.  A good 3-4 inches out there now and coming down steadily.  It's a cold, light snow that's blowing around pretty good.  I'll update more as the day progresses.  It looks like the worst of this storm is going to stay north/east of us, but the forecast is calling for a pretty substantial snowfall in this area.  Temps down to near 0 tonight, and a high of 6 tomorrow.

Good report. I am in northeast pa.(Wilkes Barre area) Not snowing as of yet (1030am) and from what i can tell alot of lakes around here the snow has blown off almost completely. Hopefully with the high winds predicted for tomorrow that snow will blow off again.

few guys headed out fishing.  Snow's still coming down steadily.  4+" I would guess.  The roads are terrible.  The plows come thruogh and as fast as its plowed, the snow's blowing back on the road.Hopefully tomorrow's high winds will help blow some of it off the lakes too.  Single digit or negative temps would have put on some great ice without this snow.

It stopped snowing late last night, leaving 6-8 inches of COLD powdery snow across the county.  Hard to tell exactly how much, the snow's blowing all over the place.  As I type this, it is 0 out there with a high of 6 later today. 

Definitely a good day to bring the shanty and heater if you're headed out fishing.  We're here 6-6 all weekend.

Brrrr....that oughtta put down some ice

North Western Pa Reporting!!
Snowed all day yesterday with 4+ inchs.
Temps where in the teens and windy.
Got down to 2 degree's last night and will get up to 12 degree's today for a high.
Wind chill will be -8 to -1 threw the day.
The snow will not help making ice sense it will insulate the ice from getting colder.
