Weird how you can't buy a walleye on Oneida on a tip up, at least I can't, but I got 3 yesterday all on tip ups at WP.  From what I read a lot of walleye come off tip ups at WP, my 1st time there yesterday.  I almost always run a few tip ups on Oneida but have yet to catch anything other than perch.

I'm guessing that's the best way to get the walleye on Wp right now with tip ups that's how most of my fish are being caught. Can't wait to get back out this Saturday .

WP (deadsea) is the weirdest place in the world....one year...crappie.  Another...eyes.  This year, its the eyes turn to bite.  I believe its an early ice bite and they will be moving around the res. soon and things may slow down....hope not.  The crappie that we have caught are good size and I believe the derby winner will be pushing 15".  Hope to see you all there Feb 8th.  Tight lines.
Take the pledge, be safe, enjoy every second of life and lets go JETS!

Thinking Sunday morning instead of tomorrow now.I try to keep my sled away from everyone.I watched some videos once about noise under the ice.By far the loudest was gas augers.Sounded like being in the middle of a tornado.Between gas augers, snowmobiles and Atvs.Atv made the least amount of noise under the ice.

The bite has definitely slowed for the eyes, been all over past few days. 10" of ice and growing no prob with the sled. Can't wait to hook up slammin at the derby! I got "Tickle" to whip up a batch of shine for anti-freeze ;D

Hit the lake today on south end. Was in 22 FOW. No walleyes or crappie to be had among 3 of us. We got a few panfish and some smallmouth. Ice must be 10 inches at this point. Looking pretty good for having enough for the derby.  ::) ::)

We were on it last night 'till 11. Bite was good as soon as it got dark but stopped dead in it's tracks after that.  >:( >:(

Hey Sporty. That's the first crappie I've seen all season. Are you sure it was taken from the dead sea?  ;D ;D
