I've been lazy, haven't put this topic up until now. The last two years haven't had much turnout. Anyone else interested in a get together this year?

Past years the west GTG was scheduled late enough in the season that ice conditions were questionable. I know the organizers did their best to schedule around the east GTG, tournaments, etc. to increase attendance and participation. If there is enough interest I would be willing to again host the event at the Trading Post on Merritt Reservoir if the group decides that they want to come here while the ice is still safe.

I'm down! I think somewhere around gi would be nice and not just cuz I'm from gi but it would be good cause its right in the middle of Nebraska

or do it big and go to valentine refuge lakes where everyone's guaranteed to catch fish wether their new to ice fishing or not.

I would want to make it one of these times last couple have been during trips that I have planned and this hear I have a kid on the way end of February so doubt I will get the to ahead to go west. I like the idea of one in the middle but the lake choice isn't there. Sherman would be about one of FEW options.

We. Need to get an actual poll started and see where that takes us, looks like the Merritt/ Refuge area is a strong contender for location and early February might be the time lets get something going and see where it takes us.

I know sandbilly and hank will help to put guys on fish there. If you guys choose a weekend other than the 1st or 22nd I could make it also and help out. Just make sure you show up with more than 20 feet of line on your poles so you can reach the big ones.
