Ice Tomorrow?

How do you guys think the ice in the deerfield area will be tomorrow after the rain?

the only way to truely find out is to go drill a hole, each lake reacts differently given snowcover and other varying circumstances. I know i wouldnt be taking any chances on it. Drill your way out, thats the only way to be 100% sure

I am no ice expert and I don't even play one on TV  ;)

That being said, if I take kids on the ice, I go out before and I drill holes to check. Did that yesterday before I took some of my kids to the ice today. I wear those orange spikes during these proceedings. My advise would be to do something similar, check before you venture out in water deeper than your chest.

Seeing what I saw in the last few days in southern NH - which was 7-8 inches of ice with a nice solid 4" of black ice on the bottom - I would be very surprised if a day of rain ruined it. I plan to fish on the 1st.
