Tupper Lake is about 100 miles, or roughly 2 hours from Watertown.

Okay guys, so heres the deal. I would love to be able to do this right at the club, because I think that it would eliminate a lot of the hastles associated with the DEC launch. Are you guys still interested? I've been giving this some real thought, and if you guys are interested, I'll post them. Please, let me know your opinions. As of now, the get-together is scheduled for January 28th, at the club on Simond Pond (directly connected to Tupper Lake, with easy access to Tupper). Let's make this happen!

Hey Harry hows the ice up north? Me and Aaron tried to get out the other day and we were standing on an inch and a half of crap white ice so we ran for shore. I'll head to tupper with you guys, i think thats supperbowl weeked so I was planning on heading up to Plattsburgh anyway to relive som old memories

Ice is good...none safe on the lake yet but its good in the mountains, 5-6" at my camp when i ran down to get some stuff...had to walk out and drill a hole....relive old memories...awesome! Good thing u guys didnt stay out, prolly wouldda went through somewhere.

I'm in. If we want to fish Tupper, I think the launch on Rt. 30 would be a better spot. The club on Simond Pond is a pretty good walk to Tupper Lake, and I'm not sure I'd want to take my 4 wheeler under the bridge.

Is the 7th house still up and kicking over there...We spent many a times killing the 15 kegs of Magic Hat at that place. You haven't been to a party till you've been to plattsburgh. Only bad part is you wake up in montreal the next morning trying to figure out where your clothes and vehicle are.. Those were some good times.. 8)

HA HA HA I've never quite made it all the way to montreal however their is a spot just over the boarder that i ended up at a few times.... Yeah D the liver never forgets some of those nights I think it still may be processing the booze from 2 years ago. Hell as long as no one gets hurt and no one gets arrested its all good.

I wouldn't plan on doing it during the derby as the derby only allows fishing on Simond Pond, not Tupper Lake. As posted previously, it is pretty wild during the derby and it would be close to impossible to get together and relax.

I'd love to come up that weekend but I'm working however I am going to be up in the north country fishing with my nephew who is going to Paul Smiths College for a fishing weekend the 20th-23rd of Jan. Probably going to fish Mecham one day and I'm open to suggestions for the second day.

Absolutely FN . I believe theres good ol boys in maine also. I cant let my hillbilly pride get in the way of who fishes better or who kills bigger bucks etc The only thing coming out of this competition is alot more better fishermen and alot more scarred fishes. hell ill even buy the bait.

Its looking like I will be off that weekend so I am hoping to join you guys. Zach you still running this show?? Lets hear from you on where again so there is no misunderstanding. A time might be a good idea and if you guys have those family radios you might want to bring them. As Hood can tell you, some of our gatherings last year wound up a little scattered .

We have been using channel 7 for iceshanty members to comunicate while out fishing in the past and its a good way to find each other during these gatherings.
