Anyone ever fished Eastern Oregon?  More specifically lakes around Baker/Unity?  I'm looking at a trip to Phillips, Thiefs, or Unity Res.?

yes have fished all of the above. sometimes some great action here. water at phillips is low and full of small perch. unity has great rainbow in winter. thief valley about the best for large rainbow when they dont drain the lake for irrigation and kill all the nice fish in there. this lake is the best for large trout to 24 in but lake was drained year before last and will take time to come back.
Knock three times if ya dont fall through.... drop a line

I live in the area.  IMO Phillips isnt worth thr trip. small perch, small trout.  if your feeling really luck might get a walleye or crappie.  but better chance of winning the powerball.  thief valley wont fish good for another 2-3 years as stated in previous post, it was killed off 2 summers in a row.  Unity has been fishing very good for bows, average 15" pounders, but we have iced alot of 18-22" bows already this year.  move around and stay away from the obvious spots and you will find big fish.  our biggest this season is 24", very thick.  also some nice crappies if you can find them and move around.  havent heard anything about malheaur this winter but can produce nice bows as well.  last year was a little slow there and fish ran small overall.  good luck!
