I have an update on using raw shrimp for bait that you can read about in the Flaming Gorge reports (it has to do with losing a huge lake trout today while using shrimp on a spoon!).

I am going to give the shrimp idea a try tomorrow out at the Gorge. Not sure if I am going to Firehole or Lost Dog. Either way I will let you guys know how it works out.

Lobster tail????     ;D

I was surprised too, but they said it works great. It's not as expensive as some of the crank baits you see the bass guys using. Brad.

I killed them today with little pieces of raw shrimp at Lake John, just south of the WY border.

We did try shrimp on firehole at the gorge today. It was a slow day all in all, but my Dad did have one huge hit on the shrimp. It was the first time we tried it! We also tried sucker meat and meal worms.. So it was just a slow day and no results, it does happen...

POk3s, I shouldn't have said anything about using shrimp for bait because now everyone is going to be hooking into 30 pound lake trout on the Gorge! lol.
