Are you suppose to charge the ion after every use even if its only drilled less then 8 holes thru 8 or so inches of ice?

Any battery would benefit from having a full charge...

You can fully charge it again, just don't leave the battery on the charger once its fully charged.

Leaving it on the charger does not do any damage.

What if I leave my battery on the charger?
Leaving the battery on the charger will not harm the battery because the charger is programed to shut off after the battery reaches a full charge.

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.

It still recommends to remove it from the charger. I know they say this is to save on powering electronics, but fact is I have left these types of batteries on chargers before and ruined them even though the manufacture said it was ok to leave them on the charger.
