Have friends that live on Crooked. Was told today that there are about a dozen shacks on the lake around mid point. Getting on with quads and sleds. No one has ventured out with a truck yet. About 9". Fishing is good they say. Plan on taking the shack out next weekend! YAH!!!  Last day of White tail hunting.....time to hit the hard water!  Stay safe out there everyone!!

Was at Crooked yesterday, drove on, 18 inches. Fishing sucked! Got 2 small eyes in 3 hours. Heard it was good, must have been the wrong time of the day?

Finally hit the ice in the Rider shack!!  Sitting at Indian Point. On 16" of ice. Excellent day! Wally, (no weird growths), Jack and Perch! (no spots) Had a great fish fry! Some MAJOR heaves in the ice on the west side of the point. Be safe out there!

We have our shack directly across the lake at Indian Point. Was out on boxing day and it was stellar! Landed 20 fish all together. You name the species....we landed it. Lots of folk out now. Been great to us so far! ;D

Has been horribly slow! Vexilar shows loads of fish.....just not biting. Very frustrating :P Hoping a chsnge in the weather will turn them on. We fished daily from 9th to 13th. The fish we did hook up on were all males and had empty bellies.   ???

Thanx for the info! I have found that Crooked tends to slow down in January and pick up in February and March.

Is ANYONE having ANY LUCK, ANYWHERE on Crooked?  ??? The water quality is poor and the bite is non existent!  The fish are there...but won't touch us! :-\ Heard one thought that because the ice stayed on the lakes until March,  the fish didn't spawn. Any thoughts?

We are still fishing Crooked at Indian Point. Moved around a lot with our perm shack because of the drifts. We are in 16 ft. Limited out on eyes last week! One day we will do great and the next it will be dead. Had to put the extension on the jiffy. Water quality is improving. Will be out again on the weekend! Can't catch them if you don't drop a line!  ;D
