Anyone been out to look around MC. Any ice yet, guesses when it might be ready? I can't imagine it being much longer with the weather we've had and the forcast.

Drove out last evening there is some ice in sheltered places but has snow on top don't know if it will hurt or not

Was out doing some hunting yesterday morning drove by there was about 1" or so

As of Saturday when I was out there hunting was about 2.5 2 3/4 of ice. To me that skinny ice is just asking for trouble plus the amount of snow on top of it you can't see the weak spots that are on the ice. I'm giving it another week to build another inch or so I'm desperate but not that desperate my life's not worth a fish. In the mean time I'll be gunning some yotes down

Has about half an inch of slush in between the black and white I've though. I to was at the lower parking lot talking to the guy in the shack at an earlier time

There was about 15 guys when I made it there today. Had about 4 inches of good black ice. Caught a little walleye, a small bass, some perch and gills. Pretty good first day out.

been out the last three days and headin back out tonight. all the ice i have been on is 3-5 inches. but good and solid with no cracking.

Was out all day Wendsday on MC. Bite was moderate. Saw 18 or so bass landed between the 3 of us with 4 in the 18" to 19" range. 3 pike with the biggest 33". John jigged up a mess of gills and 1 crappy and 1 crappy tacken on a tip-up. Ice was 5" to 5 1/2" with 2" snow cover. Saw maybe 20 guys between the dead end road and upper 528 launch. Water sill open in front of the propogation finger.

out yesterday and today at MC. Bass are biting and little gills. No size. Ice was good with no cracking. Stopped at the church but no one around , decided to go up Mc .

Made it onto MC yesterday, lovely day, good ice, and wanted to get on before this weekend. Caught a nice 31 inch pike, couple small bass, and more bluegill than I could possibly count. You could feel the top softening by the time I left. Hopefully the rain will not be too heavy, and we'll get a nice layer of good ice in the follow up freeze

Ice is in trouble with water on ice....3 in of clear ice with obout 1 1/2 in of white ice on top my hole was like a drain...hole wit all the water..bite was good with gills got about 50 only 4 keepers...had 1 flag missed bite wax worms was bait of choice for gills.....be careful with this ice Wind and water cutting ice with warm temps

I went fishing in front of Mt Zion Baptist Church today. There was about 13 inches of ice. Snow was accumulating and there was about 5" of snow on the ice when we left. Got there mid-day and didn't get into any fish. Some others, that were leaving, had a few panfish.
