Amsoil in a older Eskimo Auger
« on: Nov 27, 2013, 07:35 PM »
I was going to try Amsoil Sabre Pro in my 7 year old Eskimo Z51 shark.  Should I be concerned about switching oil after all these years? I always used the Jiffy 2 stroke oil and haven't had any problems.  For the guys who use Amsoil do you go with 1:100 ratio of oil to fuel?

I used to use the jiffy oil in my jiffy auger for about four years then I switched to amsoil and have never looked back. I mix it at 100:1 and I use it in all my 2 stoke motors. I have been using it for about five years and never had a problem.

Check out Aspen fuel, I run it in my Husky and in my Jiffy with great success. 5 year shelf life, no ethanol, no mixing, no gumming up carbs.. its good stuff!! Both my augers fired right up without issue after sitting all summer.

7 bucks a liter but I only went through 2 or 3 last year in both augers, well worth the extra cost.

I've been running saber for several years now. I do 80 to 1. Just cautious I guess. I was thinking of trying the pre mix but it's a bit pricy. I get a foil pack of saber and when I fill the truck I pump 8 tenths of a gallon. To easy.

Where can you get the aspen fuel? I only burn about 2-3 liters a season in my auger.

How would a person find a Lambert in Regina. I have no idea what it is.
Thanks.

X3 on aspen. Sooner spend a little more on the fuel than cleaning or rebuilding carb.

Thanks man, I have never heard of that name before but know exactly where that is as I grew up in East View.

I am interested in that product. I have a few other gas mix machines to so sounds good to me.
