I use Vados every year and have for the last 5 or 6 years. Never a problem, always fast delivery and the bait is alive and well. Stored properly, the waxies last a lot longer than the ones bought locally.

What is the typical turn-around time once the order is placed? I placed an order earlier this morning, but it is still showing "Pending". I understand its probably one of the busiest times to order, but I just want to make sure I get them by next week. Anybody have any feedback on their previous experiences?

Well I just received my order...and it appears the spikes are OK, but the wax worms are all lifeless. I was home over lunch and the package wasn't here and when I got home it was on the doorstep. Are the wax worms in a dormant state or am I SOL? I tried calling Vados, but they are closed. 1,000 WW and $43 down the drain with ice forming all around me isnt a good way to start the season out

you need to go through the wax worms. any black or dark need to be removed EVERY 2-3 DAYS! if you dont they dies and then kill all the others. the wax worms dont move around much unless they are in the warmer temps and even then they dont dance. try to keep them around 50 degrees for best keeping...
boss spoons, they can catch it all!!!

I placed an order for 1000 spikes early on Tuesday for $9, but couldn't get an answer on shipping until mid morning Wednesday. Shipping was going to be $30 air, or $19 ground, (but no guarantee on live arrival) to NY. I could have ordered another 1000 without additional shipping charges. Cancelled it.

If my math is correct that's $28 per thousand, a bit steep!

The wax worms are slowly gaining life, thank you baby jesus. I paid $43 (including shipping) for 1,000 WW and 1,000 spikes. $10.75 for 250 of each. If you bought them local at cabelas or Scheels it is $14.99 for 250 WW

You guys should check into crittergrub.com, they don't hit you over the head with shipping(it's free) and I have made 9-10 orders with no problems. They were a sponsor the last couple years but it doesn't look like they are this year.

Hopefully customer service is good.  All the wax worms they shipped me are dead,  not a single one in the bunch moving.  I think they froze, it's really cold here...

Since this original post, Vados has contacted me and replacements are on the way.
