Newb checking in.
« on: Nov 24, 2013, 10:05 AM »
Hey everyone.  New here but like the looks of things right away.  I've been icefishing since I was in high school (too many years ago to count) but still find I need a lot of direction.  I'm thinking this is the place to find it.  Looking forward to a good season once we have enough ice.  I see the smaller lakes are covered but the main lake (Devils Lake) is still open as of yesterday.  Shouldn't be too long with weather like this.  Good luck and be safe.

I live in Devils Lake and am ashamed to say I don't get on the lake near as much as I should.

Then you don't have far to go to get into some of the best perch fishing in the nation.

Usually about 3 or 4 miles.  I mostly fish for walleyes though.  Not real profficient at either I'm afraid.

Welcome!  The ND page is usually a little slow, but the rest of the site makes up for it!  It'll be my first ice season fishing ND lakes
