Power bait...
« on: Nov 23, 2013, 10:28 PM »
I don't use Power Bait much and have never used it through the ice. Was wondering if anyone had luck with it? Or if they use it much for ice fishing? For trout that is.  ???

I started using the nibbles and think they do better on trout than meal worms. green and pink.

Hey B.B.
Yes we do! Through the ice we use the non-floatin power eggs.  For our trout I don't ever set much below 5-6 ft. below ice.....usually 1-3 ft.  Every day is different but seem to have better luck with Berkley Gulp! IF you only have floatin or dough you can take a piece of spring from ball point pens and put on hook shank and press dough into the sping to get it to stay down where it belongs!! Experiment and see what works for yah!!!
Spinnin spools & short rewinds...... OP
