5.5" of solid (but cloudy) ice in center, 5" closer to the edge on private rainbow pond just south of city.
If anyone wants a first chance at icefishing at their own risk this is for you.
10 dollars in to make it interesting. 100% payout.
This is definitely last minute, but if your interested let me know via email - [email protected] (or 294-1049 as late as you want). No PM's please.
I am sure there is risk involved, so I will make you sign a waiver, but I will have boards and safety rope present, so the worst that can happen is someone gets a little wet.
Tomorrow 1-4pm.
Minimum of 8 people, otherwise I will push it to a later date and see if there is more interest. Tholl is in...only seven more....
This would be just for fun and for the obvious thrills of the risk factor

its almost worth the 4 hr drive to see Tholl submerge in icy waters without a good hookset Aaron..............but I think I will pass on your gracious offering for another day on the soft......er...hardwat er....Grump

Sorry you guys cant make it. Well, not too sorry.

Just more rainbows and fish that have wandered in thru mysterious ditches for the rest of us

For anyone that might be interested, around half a dozen have said they will be coming, plus alot of maybies, so its a go now. If everyone bails, it will just be me out there 8) And thats alright too 8)
Tholl and I just did a midnight-2AM prefish. 2 little rainbows, a rockbass, a giant shiner minnow, and lots of misses.

Not bad for the dead of night. Ice seemed fine.

Hoping people will understand that starting at 1 means being there a bit earlier, or else starting will be pushed to 1:30 at the absolute latest.

All are welcome, so feel free to call me anytime in the morning for directions, I wont be on the computer! 294-1049. Please dont forget your 10bucks...I will have minnows/worms on the ice if anyone is without...dont bother bringing your augers.

I think Aaron probably thinks so too...I don't know the exact location, but he is just south of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Good luck all...after yesterday getting kind of ruined for me and finding a flat on the Montana this morning, there's too much on my plate to make it out. Thanks for the invite...hopefully there will be another someday...looking forward to the photos.

one thing is for sure, you guys missed alot of fun

9 guys came out. 1:15-4:15. 30 rainbows in the 10-12" range (small but feisty 8)) and 3 rockbass from 8-9.5"
Sirtman and RyanJohnson battled for first place, but Sirtman edged him by one fish in the last 10mins. to take the $90 grandprize

with a total of nine rainbows. Well played guys

No surprises with the ice, things seem pretty safe.

Here is what it looked like in pics...I know this will put some of you desparate-for-ice over the edge!!!

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun, and a great variety of fish too! Good to see your site was entered in the "First Ice Map" in General Chit Chat by Tholl, it's funny that we have a marker near Winnipeg sooner than some of the more northern areas.
