my chip shows the spot dead on and snag my other chip is dead on to the app
Does your chip show anything for Black Lake? I have the Navionics premium chip (2 actually) and they are basically worthless as far as Black Lake goes. It pretty much shows little more than water and land. It is pretty accurate on the other major lakes around here, including Oneida and Ontario, but pretty much a bust for Black Lake.
Just spent 15 minutes roaming Oneida with that app, I got an older 2008 chip, it was a big help for me from 2008-2011 seasons, really helped speed up the learning process on Oneida, especially once I started bumming rides and getting dropped off out away from the walking spots, its fun just walking around and trying spots on the map......the newer chips are really detailed, this one is more detailed than mine, but I've seen one a bit better.... guess its time for me too upgrade.

That's a great name "old school" lol these people know who they are....
Are you saying I could have made the post a lot shorter and just said "Cheap" instead of "Old School"?
No it just gave me an idea of an appropriate name for some of the old school dudes.$$$
easy kid
1 degree at my place this am, a little warm up to melt some snow later this week then more cold weather. Looking good. I have done a lot of fishing by marking major structure, humps etc... in my low end GPS and done well but I got on some stuff last year that I never would have found without a map chip, now I have to have one. I am cheap but I am not missing out on good fishing.
Sounds fitting for a couple of buzzards who are looking for a team name!!
