« on: Feb 28, 2013, 01:29 PM »
ponder this.we donot see this,it gives us a tan, will go through ice,FISH see this??
i am told fish see it better then colors?  UV  can be seen  farther then any colors in the water
if red color is one of the first colors to go gray, why do fish hit red?also i have
read and been told that fresh BLOOD fluoresces? is this way fish hit red?
just a thought

Also I have noticed pink works very well when red isn't working.

UV light is the best for charging lures. Its a longer wave and penetrates deeper. I've been using one all year to charge and found only have to charge half as much as I would with white light.

Lures colored with UV paint (cranks, spinners) are the future.  They are especially strong in low light conditions (cloudy days, nights, muddy water) and even work well in clear waters.  They started in the west and are making their way to the east in popularity.  In a nutshell, they allow fish to see things we can't.  Couple that with good action that is sensed by the fish's lateral line and you're in business.  Try googling UV fishing lures.

Sometimes just odd looking objsects work for panfish. My father took a small gold kastmaster and attached a hali chain to the bottom of it and was getting hits all day long last Saturday on the king!
