Welcome to iceshanty. There is lots of great info here.  One thing that would help us is if you would go to your profile and place your location so we knew what state or province you are from. I have no idea where 5th depot lake is.  ;D

Hey new to the site as well,my brother has a cottage on 5th and there is the odd piuckeral to be had there. we mostly fish it in the spring and fall for them.

Why does it matter if you post where you are from , if u haven,t heard of the lake then why post anything at all.(not meaning to be rude just wondering)

Cause it helps to know which one your talking about cause there may be more then one in the province, as for example I have depot lakes where I live and  its not the ones hes asking about.

ya they do, but i know there are a few pike lurking around in that lake and they don't close until March 31st, also some crappie and perch.
May try and see if i can pull one out. a bite is a bite, and they are always appreciated.

happy hunting boys.
