St. Croix has a sale on ice rods at their website. The Legend ice rod (with the built-in spring tip) is 60% off at $22. Even with the $7.95 shipping charge, I picked up two new rods cheaper than what one would cost at full price ($55). Other less expensive models are available, too.

Ive been looking to pick up a few St. Croix rods too, this is great. Now, do I get the Legend or the Premier Combo's?!

legends! The premier combos aren't bad, but at that price, I'd definitely get the legends. More sensitive, lighter, and you can get a better reel than the one that comes with the permier combo

well thank god i ordered my legends lastnight just looked again for a buddy and now they are up to 33$ got mine for 22 lastnight, and as a matter of fact i just looked again and all the legends shorter than 30" are 33$ but 30" and up are still 22$!!!! D.T.

BOY I CANT WAIT TO SEE IF THIS ORDER GETS SCREWED UP CONSIDERING THEM CHANGING IT IN LESS THAN 12HRS!!! but i got the email receipt saying they were 22$ when i ordered them not 33$ but just my luck this will be screwed up!!!!!! D.T.

I ordered mine thismorning first thing..got mine all at $22 and my email confirmation and order number..maybe we got lucky DT...lol

A Great deal for sure!! I shoulda ordered a couple dozen I guess..

33$ is a really good price, but you cl;early see an example of supply and demand in action. I'm sure after Thor's post there was a big run on the 24" rods. Since they still have them in stock they figure we could be making an extra 10 bucks a rod. I'm tight on money right now so just pi##ed I didn't pull the trigger last night. I have one Legend I got with Cabela's points, and I might just go that route; free is free after all.

I called St Croix today and tried to see if there was any way I could get it for 22.00. The guy said that there was a mistake but they are still going to honor the people that ordered them for 22.00. I f'd up should of ordered last night but still 33 is a good price. If I didn't have 4 already I would get a few more

Looked on the site last night as well. Almost pulled the trigger on the 24" light action's. Than I looked at all the spare rods I have that didn't even see any action this year. I think I have a little bit of a jigging rod addiction. :-)

I placed my order and have the receipt in my email, but no money has been charged to my Cabelas card yet. I guess the possibility of having my new rods for this weekend is diminishing. Oh well, hopefully next week!

There is nothing wrong with 30" - is there? I just ordered (2) 30 inchers for $22 each. Now i have to pair them up with some nice reels. Any suggestions?

How do the 30" rods do inside a 2 man flip over style shelter??? Is there enough room to set the hook without slamming the front or top?? Only reason I ask, I know in my fathers 3 man cabin style Viking a 30" rod is too long and you're always hitting the front of the shelter and I'm looking into getting a 2 man flip for next year.

if u guys tie your arms down u will not slam the top or the front of ur shanty only bill dance has to set the hook that hard if u guys use sharp hooks just a little tug should hookem
