We just left the scene and they were treating a olded man in the rescue vehicle for hypothermia.  The recovery crew said it will be there till morning due to lack of daylight.

Rookie.... That's funny..   If it did matter, you should know when I changed my name on here, I lost the Magical thread count. So I guess I am a IS rookie. However, I have been a member long before 2010    Funny thing is, The ice on Stinson Lake is where I learned to drive a truck at the ripe old age of 12... Now, I also have the luxury of having the winters off, therefore I am on the ice often, some winters almost daily, so I am VERY familiar with the conditions..

Wanting the .gov to handle something, give them more power.  The more power the .gov has the less money and freedom you have.  It's a pretty simple formula.

I think being responsible for you actions is also a pretty simple formula.  You're right you can't make people use common sense, but you sure as hell can punish them when they don't use it.  Surely this principle doesn't only occur in the "bluest" states.

Wow 14-16 inches of ice Jimmyrig... Best I have seen this year is 12". Can't wait to brave the storm and drive north tomorrow and get my lines in. It's been a few years since fishing with any real snow on the ice. I wonder what effect the storm will have on the derby but I for one am Looking forward to the challenge.
