Hey Nino,
I have been fishing the perch grounds in both Virginia Beach and Port Bolster(Pefferlaw Area) the last little while. The ice does vary a little bit in thickness, but it is game on for the most part. Hut operators in both areas are running people out to their huts using mini vans. The ice is very good quality, clear black ice. I have seen anywhere from 8 - 12" myself. I will say that I have not yet ventured out past the islands yet, but I've got reports from my buddies anywhere from 6" on the west side of Georgina to 8"+ in most other locations(between Georgina and Thorah). Guys are running machines all over the lake right now. The thing to watch out for though are the pressure cracks. Some big ones have opened up here and there. Not sure what species your targeting, but you should be in good shape either way.
Hope that helps. Safe fishing
