Twin Lake, Republic area
« on: Jan 30, 2013, 10:36 AM »
Anyone fish Twin Lake in the winter, or this winter specifically?  How's the ice, any hotspots for browns?  I know it's a super deep lake, i have a camp on Island Lake right next to twin, but i've never really fished it.  I'm just curious on what to use for bait/hooks, if it's the normal wigglers, wax worms, etc, or something special.  looking to head out there this weekend if the weather and ice are decent.

the best advice i can give you is experiment..you will find you learn faster by pounding holes and trying everything you have...some days it will be one thing/color..and the next day it could be hooks/sinkers with waxies...one never knows.
i just know they will bite if i stay another hour.
