Are you talking about tying braid to mono?  If yes, blood knot works for me.
No, it's your turn!

I use the Palomar for tying terminal tackle and the double uni for joining it to leaders and backing.

yep, and if tying onto large hooks or shad raps. Just use a cross lock snap, to make the process easier.

Fishing is a sport in which thinking is involved it is the covenant between nature and man, mother and son. Through fishing only can we recreate the link that has been tarnished throughout the existence of the modern era of mankind. Fishing is the answer yet people ignore it and consider it a "stupid" thing to do. What do these people do instead? They stare in front of color changing boxes. Is that life? My life is fishin

Conventional braids (Dacron or nylon) can be tied with most any knot reliably though I prefer a Uni.

Braided superlines (Power Pro etc.) are much slipperier and should be tied with something that is slip resistant. A Uni-knot falls into that category as does a palomar; there are other more complicated options. Cinch knots, or variations thereof (improved, Trilene etc.), are not recommended..........

Never had a Trilene knot fail me yet even when backlashing a pounder, have broke 7 strand, 174# wire and a few Titaniums though but never the knot even on 100# Power Pro, Stealth,Invisibrad, Nano,Bronzeback or any sized mono....

palomar and uni.  Palomar knot has to be the easiest to tie, if you can make an over hand knot, you can tie a palomar literally in the dark. Spooled thousands of yards of braid and backed it with mono first, made the connection between the two with a uni.  Never had a complaint (worked at a big box store ) :)
