Bought a Marcum VX-1P today so what does that make me? Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions....... Shes on charge and I'm going to break her in tomorrow!!

I have a Humminbird. My fishing buddy has a vex and we both outfish our other buddy who has one of those orange lead clips...

My lx-9 should be here tomorrow and I drive a diesal f-350.
I also have the showdown and a Toyota pick up....Whats that sayin... HMMMMMM??? lol

Think it says your putting a ferrari in the garage...getting mine next week.New otter lodge put a hold on the lx-9 this week.

I'd say Vexilars are like Harley Davidsons. Yeah they get the job done ,hardcore following and there noisy but lack of technologie is eventually cause them to fade

An I'd say marcums are like a Ducati, refined, powerful, easy on the eyes and the most up to date technologie possible.....oh yeah and expensive!!!!!!😟

Can't remember when I got my Vex maybe 10+ yrs ago. Still using the original Vex battery that came with the Vex, it is stamped "7" and "99" on the bottom. So I assume the battery was made in July 99. It still holds a charge and will still run all day. Thats a fact, not blowing smoke.

Never owned a Marcum so no idea how good they are. If both show the Green, orange, red lines then I can't see where one would be better than the other. The 3 colors is all I need for fishing. For me I am a Chevy man and own a Vex.

Now if my Vex ever takes a dump. Since I am a cheap SOB. And if both do about the same thing, I will do the research and buy the cheapest. If its a tossup I would go with the Vex, since I am a Chevy person. Never owned a Ford and never will.

NOTE: I am very hard of hearing so the hum does not bug me at all.

Exactly, I have a MarCum VS350. Got it thru marcum 4-5 yrs back for $153, it was refurbished. Its not the best Marcum has but within my price range. When I am in a clear water lake like Maxi, I don't even watch my line or and the Vex is off. When you see the fish suck bait in you yank.

UW cams are the best thing for icefishing since live bait. Even if the bite is off and I get skunked, I have a blast watching. At least I can see exactly whats going on down there. You see all those closemouth fish look at your bait then leave.

Was just thinkin,,Does my van coincide with my TCR 101... My first ice graph and I still have it,It was a work horse when I started ice fishin,the van is for work So I guess it does..lol
