Lions club derby
« on: Jan 22, 2013, 10:36 AM »
Is this derby on all lakes in central ma or just quabog? I'm interested in fishing it and never have. Anyone else going?
Cheers,

Pete

I was planning on doing it,  now I might just wait and watch the weather. If we get bombed with snow Friday night into Saturday its gonna suck. I like the opposite side of Quabog from the ramp.  Long walk with snow,  easy walk on glare ice.

I'm sure the weather effects many. It will only effect how far I walk in deep snow. Not that any area is much better than rt he next. I have my list of spots  ;D and the top one is a LONG walk.

half hour if you dont run into anything id give yourself an hour at least especially if your asking so you know how much time you have to check in a fish

My gas auger is running like crap but I think i can get it fixed for the weekend. Have my fingers crossed.

To be 100% honest, I'm fishing it for that lottery chance on a pig bass or pike. My hopes are high but I know these waters lol. If I win money, fantastic!  If I don't, that's fine. I just hope for a few nice fish. Its also a good place to meet up with shanty members  ;D

Owe I'm sure there will be some colorful people there lol. Maybe I'll hit Webster lake on Sunday.  How are these 2 locations?  Close to each other but no idea on either?

the narrows is a good spot lots of big fish taken there......the cove thats in the arm of the point behind your location thats the water front property i worked on in there is where i saw the big bass on shore line and like you millbury man i know when its truley a big bass have caught plenty of them to know.  Id go with the narrows just watch ice there can take longer to freeze or freeze funny
