Picking one up off of craigs list for $75, figured its worth it.  I read some good things in a quick goog search.  Any info on this old faithful unit would be appreciated!  Of course I wanted at least an fl-8, but budget is a new word in m vocabulary.  Hopefully I made a decent buy. Thanks gents

One of my buddies had one a while back.  Battery lasts all season.  If I remember, you have to put the transducer exactly at the top of the water.  Seemed to work fine.
