10 in of good ice water out with 4wheeler no problems 3 pike 1 bass thats it. no gills or perch or walleyes goin back tonight to try for night bit .

I was on St Helen last weekend and had no walleye luck either. Ill be heading back next weekend and would appreciate any tips for walleye there. I tried all around the deep hole in the third lake.

the walleye r in the shallow water right now.. try in the 6 to 10 ft range about a foot off the bottom

Ill give it a try, thanks for the info. Any thing specific kind of jigs or colors that seem to work better there?

iv just been using a size 12 trebble hook bloodred in color and w blue on it.

I have fished all my life. lived up north (st helen) and have fish for walleyes all the time .
every one says they get walleyes ( all the time ) on st helen lake . get real dont go tellin every one that ice is 14 in and realy 5 in and ur gettin 8 to 10 walleye and realy 1. i realy hate that . drive up 60 $ food 60$
bait 20$ lp gas 12$ gas for 4wheeler 12$ smokes 15$ gas to get home 60$ .
before you get a fish that some one says that there getin them hand over fist
be real tell them how it is and how u want it to be.
