Harrison Lake/Three Forks Ponds

Just looking for any current info on Harrison Lake/Three Forks Ponds. Actually any (old or current) info on Three Forks ponds would be appreciated. Not much on here about those ponds but if they get good ice they should fish pretty well. Hoping to make it to Harrison this weekend and some info would be appreciated. Maybe even worth a few brews if we meet up on the ice on Saturday.

Harrison has been fishing pretty well from what I've heard and seen.  You should be able to access the Montana Fishing reports page in a few more posts and Harrison Lake is in there.  Ice is probably around 12-14" at least by now.  When I fished it about 3 weeks ago it was around 7-8" pretty firmly.  Road to lake is plowed and only about 4-5" of snow here on the east side of Harrison towards the lake.

Thanks cutbow. I think my brother and I are going to give it a try tomorrow starting around noon or so. Any advice on what to use? We're new to this whole ice fishing thing.

Hey Bourbon, I think my girlfriend and I will be hitting it tomorrow afternoon also. If you see or hear a silver 06 dodge diesel that'll be us, don't be afraid to wave or holler if ya want. If by some chance we beat you we should be in the trekker.

Plenty of ice on three forks ponds.  Went there trying to catch bass or bluegills a little while back.  I only got little dinky perch.

Brit: Thanks for the Three Forks ponds info. I've always wanted to try it but I've heard that the ice can get a little sketchy. I'm ok with catching little dinkers if there's even a possibility of a nice 'gill.

Updates? Ice thickness? I'll be heading to Harrison lake this weekend. I think I'll test my luck off the Norwegian cr. point if the springs don't kill me. Go light and pray.

Went out today for almost an hour, 3-4 pm.  10" ice 100 yds east off the ramp. Family day so more for fun than fish. Four other parties on the SE side at 3, left at 4. No bites, wind was mild as far as this lake goes, 4-7 mph, gusts to 13-15, bare ice so weigh down your chairs or chase them like I did.  Going out again this weekend, may pull a 24 session for the sake of tradition
