I think it has everything except salmon and lakers  ;)  I believe rainbows and browns for the trout species.

Going back out in a couple of hours for the night bite. 50' of water and Jumbo Yellow perch, Crappie and a pair of nice colored rainbows:BIP Outdoors special shiners worked the magic. Took my brother out today and put him on the fish, see Lake Reports for further info. I will update conditions soon. Video to follow.

800 did the job with the 90 giving a loving nudge to get her rolling. Blocks were easily pulled, however, no chains on the big gun, so a lift and tuck was needed. Oh wait that was my jiggin today ;D

Thanks, it does the job and having both this and an 8 man portable is the best of worlds.

We keep talking about a permanent but never seem to commit. I started with a portable a couple years ago and since everything at that time was so new to me a permanent seemed like an extra unknown. Now that I have my feet wet it seems like it a good idea on those real nasty days or when I just want to go out for a few hours.

Yes... I saw he paid you a visit last night as Iwas coming back in from talking to Swampers and Crew. He sure does miss living around here. But, he has put in many days out there with me this year, and hopefully many more. Teaching him more about fishing and less about drinking :)

Does anyone ever leave a portable out on the ice overnight? Is it even legal to do so?

I think some bodies of water may have their own restrictions but I think you can as long as the portable has "reflective" material and your name, address and phone # visible on the outside.
