I promise there will be plenty of ice in my freeze for cocktails.  Other than that we just gotta wait and see.

My guess is southern Michigan will lose just about all safe ice. Some lakes will maintain ice cover and some will open up. Looking at it in a positive light, hopefully we will dive back into this cold that is predicted with more uniform and traditional ice formation

I dont see a repeat of last year yet.  Certainly we are gonna lose safe ice over the next few days...but it looks like the rain forcast may be declining.  Ice making temps to return by Wed or Thurs of next week.  The real concern is how long the ice making temps hang on after this warm up.

 High winds and rain are a real bad combo. Looks like the gasoline budget will need an adjustment. Head north my friends.

This warm up will drive us off the saginaw river for a week or two, thats for sure. we'll have ice again, its only early Jan.

... I haven't watched the weather to much, but starting to think that the warm front is hitting all of the north central states by all of the post from different locations. Well not much we can do but hope it gets cold again and we all get back to where we belong...The ice! Good luck out there, and be safe!
