Sure it will work. Make sure you rig it so the transducer hangs perfectly level.

Chart speed max
Manual mode
Fish ID OFF
Adjust sensitivity so you can see your jig, might have to go max if you are fishing deep water  :-\

Transducer angle is key... You gotta have it straight or you have no hope. Get it fired up, get the ducer straight, and start messing with the settings. You will have to turn the sensitivity up until you can see your jig, but not so high you get random junk on the screen. Scroll speed is a personal thing, I like it super fast. Some guys really like a graph because they can look at their jigging like a heart beat monitor.

The problem with those is usually the screen getting gummed up in the cold. Back in my days of using an open water graph, I kept the head inside the front of my bibs to keep it warm and didn't take it out til I had the shack warm.

Good luck. Any electronics is better than no electronics.

Edit...

BBK is right, turn the fish ID off. Turn it off always and forever on everything you own.... ;D

I basically have that unit on my kayak. Pretty much just gives me the depth.

Yep... I had and Eagle II. Same story. It can't hurt to try though.

Depending on the setting you use it will work. Not just turn on and use it, but go into the settings so you can see the column, the adjust sensitivity for the size of your jig. If you use a Hali, or something like it you will be able to see it on the graph moving up and down. The screen will need to be kept warm so don't expect to use it outside a shanty.

I use a Cuda 240, works well, haven't noticed a problem with the screen outside of a shanty

I have an even less fancy hummingbird 120 or 110? Portable unit. It does work but not as sensitivenas a Flasher and definitely better than nothing. Play with the settings and get a setup to keep the ducer straight and it will really up your catch.

I have close to the same thing. I put the transducer on the end of a tip up so it stay where you want it.

Sure will! I started with a Cuda  and honestly ..I could dial it in and see my jig (as a straight line)  most times if I set it right.
